James Krause founded Glory MMA & Fitness in Lee’s Summit in 2013 and is its owner and head coach.
He fought professionally in mixed martial arts from 2007 to 2020, representing Lee’s Summit, and competed in the UFC from 2013 through 2020. He finished his pro career with 28 wins — 14 by submission and 8 by knockout or TKO — after going 18–1 with two titles as an amateur.
In 2017 he was a cast member on The Ultimate Fighter: Redemption (Season 25).
He holds a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. His students include Matt Waters, owner of Stride Martial Arts & Fitness in Excelsior Springs, who earned his BJJ black belt under James.
At Glory he brings that pro-level experience to everyday people — kids, beginners and experienced athletes alike.
