Your first class
What to expect
- A short warm-up built around BJJ movement: shrimping, bridging and break-falls.
- A coach teaches one technique step by step, like a guard escape or a basic sweep.
- You drill it with a partner at your own pace, with a coach checking your details.
- Positional rounds and live rolling are optional on day one. Watching is fine too.
Show up about 10 minutes early. A coach will meet you, show you around and get you set up.

Absolutely the best choice for bjj or mma at any level. An alpha gym, that is GREAT with kids and the ladies.
What an awesome gym! One of the best places to train in the KC area. I highly recommend Glory MMA & Fitness to anyone who's looking to get in shape, or to anyone who wants to learn MMA and/or BJJ, or Wrestling. Glory also has some of the best trainers/coaches around! Check them out today!
I've been a member for a few months now, and it has been one of the best decisions I've ever made. Glory MMA & Fitness has a great staff that is very welcoming, and that's SUPER important for someone like myself who hasn't done this sort of thing before and was out of shape. I'm still not in great shape, but I've made serious improvements and I've also been able to make good gains to my mental health, which is my #1…
Do I need a gi for my first class?
No. Wear comfortable athletic clothes without zippers or pockets for your first class. A coach can help you with gear options later.
I have never trained before. Is that okay?
Yes. Most members started as complete beginners. Fundamentals classes start with the very basics.
Do you offer Gi and No-Gi?
Yes. Glory offers Gi BJJ, No-Gi BJJ and Fundamental BJJ. A coach will help you pick a class for your free week.
How much is a membership after the free week?
Memberships start at about $150/month. A coach will walk you through the options after your free week, with no pressure to sign up.
Your first week is free.
No experience needed. Just show up ready to move.
